HANDONG GREEN: A rainy weekend - full of green hopes

On Saturday (May 10, 2025), the Handong E&C family continued their Green Day journey with the Handong Light Foundation, cycling ~20km return to Don Bosco Shelter – Can Gio.

Despite the heavy rain, no one turned back. Every pedal stroke was a quiet promise - a promise of commitment, companionship, and care. 

At the shelter, Handong members joined the children in painting, connecting through colors and joyful moments. Trees were planted with the hope of creating a greener and more sustainable living space. Lunch was lovingly prepared by the team, each detail reflecting thoughtful attention and warmth.

As part of the program, Handong E&C also presented sports shoes to the children—a small yet meaningful gift. It was not merely a material contribution, but a message of gentle encouragement, hoping to strengthen their confidence and support their journey toward education and growth.

A warm birthday celebration was also held for the children born in May - joyful, complete, and filled with laughter.

Every small action whispered to the children: “You are not alone.”

12 hours of companionship—12 hours in the rain, but also 12 hours filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable green memories.

Challenges are meant to be overcome—not avoided.

This Green Day did not shine because of the sun, but because of hearts united in one journey.
