HANDONG LIGHT: Handong E&C's CSR Journey Turns Dreams into Reality

On August 10, 2025, Handong E&C proudly joined the Khởi Sự Từ Tâm Foundation, a member of Kim Oanh Group, in its mission to provide comprehensive care and education support for disadvantaged children. During the Closing Ceremony of the 3rd Summer Course, Handong E&C announced a 600 million VND sponsorship to fund long-term humanitarian projects, including “Cùng Làm Cha Mẹ” (Parenting Together), “Sóng Chữa Lành” (Healing Waves), and other community-focused initiatives.

Empowering children through education and life skills

This year’s Summer Course welcomed nearly 100 orphans from Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai (including the former Binh Duong area) under the “Cùng Làm Cha Mẹ” project. Over four days of engaging activities, the children not only participated in creative learning but also developed essential life skills such as teamwork, self-defense, handling unsafe situations, and basic first aid.

Emotional bonding activities like journaling and parent-child sharing sessions strengthened relationships, while field trips, charity runs, free medical screenings, and age-appropriate games promoted holistic growth - physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Long-Term commitment to child development

Launched in 2022 with only 40 children, “Cùng Làm Cha Mẹ” has now grown to support 223 children in 2025 - 122 receiving comprehensive packages (financial and non-financial) and 101 receiving non-financial support. The Foundation commits to accompanying each child until the age of 18, achieving an impressive retention rate with only 2 school dropouts in the last three years.

Handong E&C’s message of hope

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Park Jinho, CEO of Handong E&C, encouraged the children to dream big:

“Never give up on your dreams. Handong E&C, Kim Oanh Group, and the Khởi Sự Từ Tâm Foundation will always stand by you to achieve your goals. Dream bigger, set higher goals, and let’s make those dreams come true together.”

The 600 million VND sponsorship will help fund meaningful programs such as historical site visits, charity marketplaces, and hands-on workshops, while also supporting scholarships, tuition assistance, and health care initiatives.

By partnering with the Khởi Sự Từ Tâm Foundation, Handong E&C reaffirms its dedication to Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainable community development.
